Mr Ravi Jandhyala

Mr Jandhyala is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, and a founding member of the UKBTGA. He has 9 year's experience in Aesthetics, and also consults for the pharmaceutical industry as a pharmaceutical physician. Mr Jandhyala is an expert in the science behind Botulinum Toxin for aesthetics and has been Associate Medical Director at a manufacturer of a marketed Botulinum Toxin.

More recently, he has designed and implemented the world's first BoNT-A registry of use aimed at mapping the face, and providing a definitive guide to dosing each anatomical area by wrinkle severity for each toxin. Mr Jandhyala is a leading author on botulinum toxin use for aesthetics in the UK having published on the relative cost-effectiveness of each of he marketed toxins and also, more recently, an meta-analysis comparing the efficacy of two BoNT-A's for the aesthetics indication.

Mr Jandhyala is currently running a number of studies in the use of Botulinum Toxin out of his clinic situated in Banbury. He works alongside his wife who is an aesthetics nurse. As a result of the work that he has carried out with the UKBTGA and through his own research institute, he is regularly invited to speak at aesthetics congresses. This year, the UKBTGA voted to broaden its brief and change its name to the United Kingdom Society for the Study of Aesthetic Medicine (UKSSAM) to cover all aspects of aesthetic medicine. Mr Jandhyala was elected to be its first president.
