Coming to Enhance Banbury is a unique cosmetic approach to voice development and vocal performance. A unique 10 week course of development workshops have been designed specifically to meet the needs of professionals and individuals to whom social and professional communication is of key importance.

Workshop sessions run between 1hr and 1hr 20. Sessions are the structured instruction and practice of technique and exercise to develop an individual’s voice to a professional standard.

James Snee
Trained at Bournemouth arts institute. Voice coach for Cherwell theatre company for 6 years, overseeing 7 full scale productions including the national tour of Holmes and Watson the farewell tour 2012. James' experience mentoring large ensembles and young professionals has lead him naturally into high level training and skill set development for a wide range of professionals. A prolific voice actor and voice over artist with recent credits including: Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter For Kinect, 2012 and Steven Spielberg's War Horse, 2011.
Penelope Tasker
Penelope Tasker graduated with a first class degree from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 2006, Awarded the Young Voice award in the National 'Speak a Poem' competition. Penny is an accredited RADA movement, acting and vocal workshop leader. As a private voice coach she has assisted students obtain places at drama schools including Central School of Speech and Drama, East 15 and LAMDA. In her professional acting career she has performed on every continent except the Arctic and Antarctic. Companies she has worked for include: Disney, Tiger Aspect, Soho Theatre.

Course overview:

The primary objective of a full course is to cultivate physical ability and independent knowledge of advanced communication techniques.

The course begins by exploring key areas of foundation. These include the discovery and conditioning of optimum posture and vocal support in ourselves. We move on to recognise status in voice and movement and learn how to use it to our advantage in communication, always moving towards optimum performance in ourselves with physical conditioning as a constant.
The course progresses through subject specific modules including:
  • Preparation techniques
  • Flexibility and balance
  • Relaxation
  • Body language
  • Rapport Building
  • Deep emotional connections
  • Speech preparation
  • Stage volume

This course is a physical experience for participants, who are asked to engage in physical exercise to achieve desired results. Sessions are held in groups of 10 people to maximise context experience for participants.

The systematic approach to personal vocal performance and the confidence it develops are of immeasurable value and satisfaction.
